I’d like to ask how I can write two several time signatures in a full score. I know, I could hold down the Alt key and input the time signature only on the selected staff. But the relationship between the beat lengths is fixed, so if I have a timesignature of 4/4 on a different stave and I have a time signature of 6/8, then one quarter notein the 4/4 time signature equals one quarter note in the 6/8 time signature.
How can I write (for example : 2/4 and 6/8) without the bars get a several lenght? I mean (like in a lot of pieces of Benjamin Britten): The strings play 6/8 and the wind play 2/4, but the 2/4 bar don’t become shorter.
