Severe static in playmode and exported audio

i recently upgraded to windows 11, which may or may not have anything to do with this issue, but i am getting severe static after a few moments of playback, either live or via export, i have noteperformer, but switching to hsse has made no difference. i am using Dorco Version 4.3.20.1130
i have a UR242 Steinbert AI, but have been using that for over a year with no issues.

With which driver do you use the UR242, the Yamaha Steinberg USB or the Generic Low Latency driver? If you don’t know, check under Edit > Device Setup.

That is very unusual then and should not happen. Don’t know what to further suggest, need to think about it a litte more before I come back…

Do you have a built-in sound card (e.g. Realtek) as well in your computer?
If so, how about if you use that together with the Generic Low Latency Driver, do you get the same audio problems?

i am thinking it may have to do with using the loopback feature on the ur242 which i use for my on-line composition lessons rather than share audio. i will do some testing with that and alternatively using your other suggestions.
