One of my projects is called 7 Rising. It’s cinematic Synthpop. Atmospheric with a film-score kind of weight behind it. Spotify won’t let me listen unless I sign in. Don’t have a spotify account right now.
The facebook bot thought I was a scammer cause I didn’t want to do facial recognition to make a facebook account so it permabanned me. So I can’t see instagram either.
I should really get better at social media. But can’t listen to your music.
Well, I could. Clicked on two posts. One was just the vocal track with video that made me cross-eyed and gave me the beginnings of a headache. The other was a 5 second burst. (My attention span can accommodate Wagner music dramas. I want something I can get my teeth into, as it were.)
We want to listen, but it has to be easy for us. Too much work and most of us just click away.
As @ASUNDER implies, Soundcloud or YouTube links to full tunes works best, at least here.
If I may add: Since Spotify is traditionally known for NOT paying musicians fairly and pushing their own AI generated content these days - some musicians might not feel comfortable to use Spotify.
True. I heard of that too. They make their own fake AI bands and take the streams so they don’t have to pay out to artists. How are we not surprised at this point.
For me I already had Soundcloud and YouTube Music so I have been spoiled for music choice anyway.
Here, you guys could check out my old music playlists. I made them so people can copy them over, like a curated playlist, per genre. I got the good ones in there.
I sat there reordering them one by one, to put them in alphabetical order and in order of albums, and track lists in albums. I sure like wasting my time. But for music it’s always time well spent.
Well, I managed to navigate my way to your song eventually - for some reason my browser forgot I had a Spotify Account (free) so I had to remember a password and then retrieve the verification code from email.
Checked out the first track “Stay”. I like it. Vocals, female harmonies, overall vibe, mix all sounded good to me. Cinematic, theatrical, at times and even had occasional hints of a Bond theme. Googly won’t like that abrupt ending.
As an aside, I made mention of Soundcloud/YouTube - these are only handy if you’re giving your music away. No good if you’re wanting to earn a living.
