I’m trying to get flats and sharps symbols to appear in chord symbols. However, they’re not appearing. I’m trying to redo my lead sheet template, and all I did was change the font for “Chord Symbols Music Text Font” to Finale Legacy (AKA Petruci). When I did that, the flat and sharp symbols disappeared from all of my chord symbols. Any help would be much appreciated please! Thanks for your time and help!
Finale Legacy doesn’t have the correct glyphs that are needed. You’ll have to use a different font.

In my original version of my template I was able to use Finale Legacy for the font. I can post a file of my original lead sheet project template if needed.
Are you sure you used Finale Legacy for “Chord Symbols Music Text Font”, and not as “Default Music Font”?

Here is the original version of my lead sheet template. If you add a chord symbol to the template, you should be able to see that flats and sharps appear correctly using the Finale Legacy font.
This template has lots of chord symbols customizations. Many of them look like they should have accidentals, but the accidentals don’t appear – until I change the Chord Symbols Music Text font style to something appropriate, like Bravura Text.
For example, here’s what Ab/C looks like in your file:
When I change to Bravura Text:
Some of the altered chord symbols do display an accidental, like Abmaj7, but in the chord symbol editor I can see that the flat has been manually added.
Correct, but that doesn’t explain why the “normal” style chord symbols aren’t aligning with baseline chord symbols like the setting I applied. Also, I don’t want to use Bravura Text. I want to use Finale Legacy please and thanks.
One issue at a time, please! 
If you want to let Dorico do the work for you, then you can’t use Finale Legacy as the Chord Symbols Music Text font style, because it’s the wrong kind of font. The only way this will work is if you customize every chord root with an accidental and manually add the accidental with Finale Legacy, as you have done for some of your chord symbols.
If you don’t like Bravura Text, that’s fine; there are other fonts that can be used here. In the font dropdown list, type “text” to filter the list, and most of the ones that end in Text can be used.
I can’t speak to the alignment issue, but I suspect it may also have to do with your choice of fonts.
Like I said earlier, I am able to use Finale Legacy for the music text font for chord symbols (at least for my original version of my template). I’m not sure why the alignment issue is happening.
They align fine in Page view. They do not align in Galley, but that’s by design as Dorico doesn’t do certain spacing calculations in Galley. If you switch to Page, they are fine.

Can you provide that template? I thought that’s what the above attachment was.
When I start with a factory template and change the Chord Symbols Music Text Font to Finale Legacy, all the accidentals disappear, which is the same thing you’re describing. And this is not surprising, since this font is not meant to be used in that context.

But in this template the accidentals aren’t appearing – because you’re using Finale Legacy. I thought you had an older version of the template which also uses Finale Legacy and in which the accidentals appear.
Honestly, that means nothing to us without seeing the actual file. It’s simple to move it anywhere I want. Without seeing the edits or overrides in that specific file we’re just guessing.
