Sheet music for Veeh harps / Table-Harps

Sheet music for Veeh harps,
a wish for a follow version, a module to generate Veeh harp/table harp sheet music. It a little bit exotic but guitars can also be output as tablature.
So it would be similar.

Welcome to the forum, @Martin_K62. I’m not familiar with the notation system for the Veeh harp. Can you provide some links to how this music looks?

Hello Daniel,

thank you for very much your interest and quick response.
This notes can also be called ‘underlay notes’.
It may be ridiculed, but it gives people access to music who are put off by normal sheet music. Here an example for a notation software:
https://zn-live.zupfnoter.de
and here the link for the instruments:

My wife plays the instrument - in a group -
and it is very inconvenient to transfer the notes from Dorico via XML into this free software (Zupfnoter) to generate usable Veeh-harp/Table-harp notes.

Kind regards
Martin

Wow, I learn something every day on these forums. Thanks Martin.

Creating a notation system and an instrument that is easier to use for people with disabilities is a wonderful idea.

My gut feeling is that it would be quite difficult to support this notation system directly in Dorico, but perhaps it would be a more achievable goal to consider exporting ABC files that can be opened in Zupfnoter, to avoid the necessity to go via MusicXML?

Yes, the approach is also good - with an appropriately set instrument (keyword: pitch range), so that the Dorico output ABC file in the “Zupfnoter” no longer requires so much post-processing. If you could go this way - that would be great. You’re probably right, the effort to implement this graphically is certainly not easy - on the other hand, only a small team has implemented the Zupfnoter…
