Shift+Esc -- can it be used as a shortcut?

The thing is, I already have Shift+Esc assigned to something. But when I go to enter that shortcut for a new command, it only registers the ‘Esc’ key and not the Shift+ combo.

Is this because the new key command window is buggy?

-(there’s also an issue of some shortcut combinations not being able to be searched for)

-(and also for an annoying as hell jump screen reaction each time something is added in the Macro section)

I really wish I could use this shortcut as well. It was my record shortcut on Windows. I’m using Shift+Space now, but all of my muscle memory tells me to press Shift+Esc.
