Shift + mouse wheel problem

Hi everyone,

I’m using Cubase 14 and ran into something that’s slowing down my workflow.

When I hold Shift + mouse wheel, the timeline scrolls left/right — but only when my cursor is over an empty area.
If I hover over an audio clip or recorded track, the scrolling no longer moves the timeline.

This feels inconsistent and makes navigation less efficient.

Is there any way to make horizontal scrolling (Shift + wheel) work regardless of where the cursor is positioned — whether it’s over clips, tracks, or UI elements?

Maybe there’s a setting or workaround I’m missing?

I noticed one thing:

1. Hover over selected event → no horizontal scroll

2. Hover over non-active/empty area → scrolling works

Helped swtiching off the tick Editing → Audio → Use Mouse Wheel for Event Volume and Fades
