I have an issue with staff spacing. I guess it might have to do with the fact that I inserted text via Shift-X. Is there a setting, where one can adjust, how or wether these text inputs influence the spacing between staves?
As of now, you can simply opt out of having Text objects influence vertical spacing in Engraving Options.
You could try and fiddle around with settings pertaining to how much space is to be left between staves with objects protruding and whatnot but, to be frank, I’m not sure one is able to reach values that are satisfactory.
I think I’ve suggested this before, but I’m asking the team to endow most objects with a property that lets one opt individual objects out of spacing calculations.

Dorico doesn’t seem to recognize, if you are moving a text item. It always seems to leave space for the default position of the text item. Would be great if Dorico could take the actual positon to calculate the extra space needed between systems.
