Just type the two letters consecutively.

It works with l,v because l is one of the rare letters that are not used by Dorico by default.
on my v 6.1 l is lock by default but I will give it a try, thanks
oh, you’re right, it’s lock for me too. I guess there’s something clever that activates another action when the v is pressed fast enough. And Lock is a feature that only works when Note Entry is engaged, that might also be an explanation.
