Should I deactivate or not?

My Macbook pro has some issues and I need to send it to apple for a repair. I’ll have a temporary computer in the meantime.

Should I deactivate Dorico before sending the computer over in case they need to wipe it clean? Or could I do that at any time later?

Right now I use Dorico 4 on one computer only, so I have two more activations, right?

I mean… if you’re sending it in and it’s possible it will get wiped, there’s little reason NOT to deactivate it. Assuming they don’t wipe it, all is well, just reactivate; and if they DO wipe it, you won’t have to go through the rigmarole of having the old license manually nullified by the licensing department.

In May, I had the logic board on my Mac Mini replaced, as it completely died.

I restored my backup, and both Dorico 3.5 and 4 launched without complaint!

Mind you, we read here problems of just trying to maintain a single licence on a single computer.
