I just downloaded and installed Cubase 15 PRO. I had tons of old projects and several that are still active in Cubase 12 PRO. Do I need to convert all of these old/current projects to Cubase 15 PRO before uninstalling Cubase 12 PRO, or can I just uninstall Cubase 12 PRO and Cubase 15 PRO will recognize the files and integrate them into the new version? Basically, are all my old Cubase 12 PRO projects going to be useless if I decide to revisit them after uninstalling Cubase 12 PRO on my machine?
12 projects should load into 15. Assuming you got 15 to recognise all the same plugs you were using in 12 you should have no issues. If you ever do find a 12 project that won’t open in 15 (unlikely) there’s nothing to stop you reinstalling C12.

I always keep my last version on my system when I upgrade.
Just incase.

It is much easier to open a C12 project in C15 - the other way round can get tricky.

I never uninstall any old versions. The program files are fairly small, so no need to reclaim the diskspace. The older versions go away when the hardware gets replaced. And even though uninstalling a program isn’t a lot of work; not uninstalling a program is even less work.
