When using “Show All Automation” the Project window auto-scrolls vertically and recenters. When there are tracks with open automation lanes above the track I’m working on, the view jumps downward and I lose my place. I’d like an option to suppress this vertical scroll and keep the selected track exactly where it is in the view.
So this was driving me crazy for the longest time as well, but then I learned that “Show All Used Automation” and “Show Automation” refer to all tracks in your project, not just the selected one. I discovered that I have to use “Show All Automation (Selected Tracks)” for it to not scroll out of view, keeping the selected track in place.
However +1 to this request, I feel like regardless of the one you choose, it shouldn’t scroll elsewhere. It’s not helpful or necessary from a UX perspective, and I do find it rather disorienting to vertically scroll to a random track.
