Hi Bill,
I’ve been sent Finale XML files before and imported them to Dorico. I haven’t noticed this problem before but I could have glossed over it! One thing that almost always works is to remove the key signature (even if there isn’t one) and apply the same one again.
This usually tells the software to show everything again.
If this doesn’t work then feel free to send a test file and I can give it a crack!
If you uncheck all the MusicXML import options in Preferences, Dorico should show accidentals according to Dorico’s rules during the import process.
However, you can do a select all, then filter>Notes and chords (and filter deselect tuplets and grace notes etc.) until the notes properties show. Then just reset the accidental property.
Thank you. Two EXCELLENT suggestions. I will give them a try tomorrow morning and let you know what I find.
