Show player name instead of instrument name

I have a percussion player with a percussion kit and xylophone:

Inside the percussion kit there is just two instruments:

I’d like to show “Percussion 1” as the staff label in score, but dorico shows the name “Suspended Cymbal” instead (even though the player is playing xylophone!). This surely can’t be the intended behaviour?

Related small request: when changing from Xylo to an instrument inside the percussion kit, Dorico puts there an instrument change label “Perc.” which I have to manually hide (and often forget to do so). Could this label be avoided automatically when changing to a percussion kit?

Could you attach a small project that demonstrates the problem? I can’t reproduce that here.

Did you change the abbreviated player name as well? Try right clicking on the player name in Setup mode and choose Rename player. Double clicking on the player name only lets you change the full player name, but not the abbreviated one.
