Show repeat endings over just the first and last measure of the repeated section

Hi folks,
Sorry if this has already been discussed. I’m not able to find this specific answer. I have a first ending repeat that includes 9 measure. I understand how to include all of the measures under the first ending. I also figured out how to make a short first ending graphic. What I’m not able to figure out is how to have the last measure show the end of the repeat graphic. Basically one measure for the first part of the repeat and one measure for the end of the repeat. Is there a way to do this?

I’m not sure I’m following: do you mean a broken repetition ending?

So I have a 9 measure 1st ending section. I want the first ending graphic to display only on the 1st measure and then on the 9th measure. Does that make sense?

I did use this (Open to next bar) setting to get the first part. But I don’t see an option to essentially close the ending with a short line.

It’s not available. One can create something in the line editor and put it in manually (which is some hassle and totally non automatic)

Meixner … yes, that’s what I’m looking for. Where do I find the line editor? I don’t mind adjusting the lines – being a former Finale user, that had to be done all of the time.
