I did some searching, but as of yet I have not found what I am looking for. I want to show dotted quarter, dotted quarter, quarter over a bar with 8/8 time signature (3+3+2).
That would be just fine.
I entered the eighth notes normally. Then I switched to upstem voice 2 and entered the longer notes on a high C, and in the Properties panel I set them not to play back. In Engrave mode, I hid the ledger lines for those notes; I also had to adjust the voice column for the F to get it to line up correctly. If you wanted, you could also change the scale on the longer notes to make them smaller.
I hope this explanation makes sense. I’m away from my desk, but I can provide some screenshots later.
