Hi,
On right click you can select Show “xxx” Automation Track for the parameter that you right clicked on. I would prefer a “Alt + Click” on paramter = reveal it’s automation lane or something like that rather right clic, scroll up to the popup menu and select. I use that alot and don’t find what’s in place fast enough. Does this exist ?
I’ve been asking for a better way to show automation lanes ever since I started using Steinberg. In other DAWs like Studio One, you can just click on a parameter, press a keyboard shortcut, and the automation lane shows.
One trick a user here told me about a while ago which I use all the time (nowhere near as good as it could be, but works well especially for 3rd party plugins where there is no option to right click to show lane) is this:
-Set the “Preview” button in the automation panel to a shortcut.
-Press the shortcut before clicking on a parameter you want the lane to pop up for
-click the parameter. Lane will show
-press key shortcut 2 more times to turn off preview.
