I would like to sometimes show a bar rest in a measure even when I have bar rests turned off. At the moment, I can input a whole rest with force duration but it puts it in a weird location, and then I can turn off the force rest position property and it splits it in 2? Here is a video of what I am doing. Anyone know how to recreate a bar rest with out a weird workaround such as a line?
One possible workaround is to add a note in another voice and hide it (and optionally remove its playback), and enter the bar rest in the main voice. Since the bar is not empty anymore, the rest will show up. You can then Alt‑click the bar.
But this will break multibar rests in the parts, so I’m not sure that’s what you want.
Interesting idea, im not worried about parts so that wouldn’t be too bad
I had high hopes for bar repeat regions with the repeat symbol replaced by a rest, but I can’t get the vertical position right.

I still wish I could just input the rest. It’s weird that it lets me do it but just places it in the wrong spot.
