I have a horn part measure with a notated pitch in one voice and chord slashes in another voice. In Setup, I have the horn parts setup to only display chord symbols on Slash Regions. I want the chord symbol to appear in this measure, but since the measure is not a slash region (because I want to see the notated pitch in it), the chord symbol doesn’t appear. How can I override that measure - or set it up another way - to see the chord symbol in it?
Have you tried inserting a Chord Symbol Region in the bar in question?

Yes, but then it does not display the pitch I also want in that measure. Is there a way to include a pitch in a chord slash region or set some kind of override to have chords appear on a non-chord slash region?
How often does this situation happens?
Maybe just fake it with Staff Text ?
Read the link to the manual that John posted. A chord symbol region is not the same thing as a slash region. It’s exactly the thing you’re asking for: “An override to have chords appear.”

Chord Symbol Regions and Slash Regions are two different things, but both show chord symbols. Slash regions are green, Chord Symbol Regions are lilac/light purple.
