Having manually removed rests, is there any way to render them visible in some manner?
When I mess up, it would be very helpful to enable me to sort out things.
Yes, select the last note before where the rests were removed and deactivate the Ends voice property in the Properties panel. (Ends/Starts voice properties suppress rests, and are automatically set as required when you remove rests.)
