Shrink length of final bar

Let’s say I’m in 4/4 time, but I want the final measure to only show 2 of the 4 beats in it. Is there any easier way of creating this other than adding a 2/4 time signature to that bar and hiding it so it only appears to have the 2 beats? I can live with that method, I just didn’t know if there was another (better) way.

Select the rest on the 3rd beat of your final measure and double click the Final Barline from the Bars and Barlines Menu in Write Mode.
You might need to Write → Trim Flow afterwards to get rid of empty measures.
