I can only get the the side chain input to be created by Steinberg Plugs. None of my Waves, Eventide, Melda, etc are creating the channel. Thoughts? 
the plugins need to be vst 3 (have 3 dashes next to the vst name)
if you do it right there should be a “Activate Side-Chain” at the top of the VST
