Silence at the beginning of stereo out export

cubase is adding silence at the beginning of only stereo out exports.
but If I render stems, all the other tracks are perfect but the stereo out. please help

Hi and welcome to the forum,

By default, Cubase exports the Locators range. What is your Locators settings, please? Did you keep this settings in the Export Audio Mixdown window?

The locaters are set to at the complete begining.
And as I said the issue is only there with the stereo out, if I render any other track or the stems, all the other tracks would not have any silence before the audio.

Is it due to plugin delay compensation not working properly?
There is a limiter on the stereo out, even it’s bypassed though

Hi,

Does the music also start at the very beginning. A screenshot might help.

Do you mean Render or Export Audio Mixdown, please?

I meant audio mixdown by render.

And here’s a screenshot.

The second track here is the exported stereo out and the first track is the guitar track stem exported from the same project (this project starts with this guitar,so)
You can clearly see that both exported tracks don’t align.
The stereo out mixdown has few seconds of silence before the start.

Hi,

It seems, it’s zoomed in quite a lot. What is the delta time between these two signals, please?

The difference is about 1/4th of beat.

Hi,

In time, please?

About a 100 msec

Hi,

Is it always the same? Could you try to decrease the Buffer Size, please?

About 100 msec

Hi,

Sorry, I don’t know, what the last picture should show? If you make a picture, could you please make a screenshot (use the system screenshot feature, please).

Could you try to decrease the Buffer Size and export again, please? Is the offset smaller?

Why would buffer size affect an exported audio file?
And the buffer size is already at 64

Thanks & Regards,
Ravi Romana

Hi,

OK, could you try to increase the Buffer Size? Does the offset increase?

It’s an issue of plugin delay compensation.
Cubase is not compensating for the latency caused by the master limiter.

I tried mastering the same project (limiter, Multi-band compression, linear phase eq) and the silence at the beginning has increased by 3 times since there are more plugins causing more latency

look at the attached screenshot, do still believe it’s a small diffrence

Previous attachment was wrong, here’s the correct one
