When I try to use Simon Phillips jazz drums with Groove Agent, it does not appear. I have reinstalled it, I have it in the same library folders with all the other sounds, it is authorized for the machines I am using… I am at a loss.
Hi @gdayswu ,
please open a Terminal window (do a Spotlight search for it) and into that window copy and paste the command
find /Library/Application\ Support/Steinberg/Content -ls > ~/Desktop/SMTGContents.txt
After hitting the Return/Enter key that shall create the file SMTGContents.txt on your Desktop. Please zip that up and post as an attachment to a reply here. Thanks
Ulf,
Nothing happens when I paste the command. No file is generated that I can zip and send..
After pasting you need to press the Return or Enter key on your computer keyboard
Yes. I did that.
Did you copy and paste really the whole line? The last characters must be “txt”
Yes sir. find /Library/Application\ Support/Steinberg/Content -ls > ~/Desktop/SMTGContents.txt
is the string I pasted in. Hit Return. Screen reset as if I had done nothing.
And there is no new file SMTGContents.txt on your Desktop now?
I found this after digging through several folders…maybe this is it?
SMTGContents.txt.zip (7.7 KB)
Yes, that’s the one. I’m checking now…
Looks all fine and quite normal. The only extraordinay thing is, that you moved the contents files to an external drive, namely /Volumes/GIANT Lacie/Steinberg Sounds/OSX/Simon Phillips Jazz Drums.
Is that external drive switched on and mounted?
Yes sir. That is where all my Steinberg files are
And it is only the Simon Philips sounds that do not load in GA?
I also intentionally purchased Modern Jazz library yesterday. I put it in the same location and it loaded just fine. Is there a way I can completely remove the Simon Phillips and get a new authorization code and start from scratch?
That is what it appears.
YOu forgot the attachment
I am sorry, it was a reply to your question about Simon Phillips being the only one not showing in Groove Agent, it appears to be the only collection not appearing.
Ah, okay. You can go to the Download Assistant and try to install again the Simon Philips stuff. You don’t need a new authorization code.
And in the Steinberg Activation Manager the Simon Philips stuff is activated, right?
I have reinstalled it numerous times through Download assistant and have unauthorized and reauthorized it as well…
Have you seen my private message to you?
