Simon Phillips Kit has gone missing

HI I have a full up to date version of Goove Agent, and the Simon Phillips Jazz expnasion which was working fine until recently. But for some reason the Kit has gone missing - the styles are showing in the styles tab but they do not load the kit. The Kit is now missing in the Kit List tab as are all the programs. How can I recover this? Also, the icons for some kits have all changed, first they stopped showhing the kit and showed the two sticks icon on a shaded out coulor background now they show the kit on a coloured background with the name in white ie STUDIO. Why has this happended? I need to get the Simion Phillips kit back asap to contue with songs using the kit? I’ve downloaded the kit twice from the Download manager and it is authorised in the activation manager.

Many thanks Vince

Thanks for this, I can’t see the images, is there a ā€˜content’ folder as I can’t find that sepcifically? I have two program files locations one (x86) with a Steinberg folder in each but nothing called ā€˜content’?

I’ve searched for Simon Phillips on the C drive but nothing shows there?

Thanks I’ve located the folder where the recent downlaod in to, which is Steinberg WIN simon Phillips Jazz Drums. But that is in the Downlaods folder. Should they be moved from there? I’ve tried scanning the WIN folder and the Simon Phillips folder but its not easy to see what is actually happending?

I Can’t find the content folder in either of the Steinberg program files folers? I have found a WIN folder in the (x64) folder but Simon Phillips is not there - I’ve rescanned that folder too.

Use the Steinberg Library Manager to find the exact location on your system of the files that make up the SPJD library.

OK Great - thanks - found that and I’ve run a scan of the content folder - how long should I leave it? Many thanks for your support. Vince

Hi I’ve, found the Content folderand the Simon Phillips folder - I’v tried scan and rescan on both files numerous times but there the drum kit is still not showing in kits, but the styles show in the styles. Very frustrating. Not sure what to do now? Any suggestions would be very welcome. Many thanks Vince

did you check permissions on the content files? Make sure they are same perms as other GA content files.

If you are using the standalone GA, go into Cubase, load GA and see if you can see the SPJD kits there.

I’m using GA in Cubase but I’ve treid both options ie the stand alone version as well, and the same thing shows ie the Simon Phillips styles are there but the kit is not. I’ll try and remove them and re-install again, but I’m not sure how to uninstall them.

I’ve not checked the permissions, on the files, how do you do thta? They are definiately acitvated in the Activation Manger?

Use the Steinberg Library Manager – click REMOVE and then ā€œMove to Trashā€ …

… then re-install.

that helped for me with SPJD missing on windows system

Thanks for this, I’ve not really explored the LIbrary Editor before. I removed the SP Drums and reinstalled them but, unfortunately, there is no difference. The styles show under the Styles Tab in GA, as before, but the kit still does not appear in the Kits. I’ve rescanned the SP Folder in Media Bay again after the reinstal and still no difference. Not sure what I can do now?

did u try what i posted above ? that’s the only thing helped in my case

No, as I’m not sure how to do what you’re suggesting?

basically u should delete (or move temporarily to other folder for backup) a file named ā€œmediabay3ā€ located in C:\Users\ā€your user nameā€\AppData\Local\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server.

then start again GA6SE

note: if u dont see the ā€œAppDataā€ folder on your computer,u should allow to show hidden folders in folders setting in windows

The same problem on my Mac today as well! Before all works well! I tried reinstall the library but it doesn’t help! In Steinberg library manager it’s showing OK and in the media bay as well, but in Groove Agent it doesn’t show!

Any suggestions? I am thinking that it’s a Steinberg bug for sure. All works well before and Simon Philips Studio Drums works OK btw
