Simple problem, no sound

I have installed my Dorico 5 in a brand new PC with Windows 11, I am not new to DORICO have been using it long on two other computers, no sound problems. I use an old very good Fiio Olimpus E10 as a dac headphone amp, works fine on the Laptop with Dorico 5 Windows 11. In Device setup I have tried both the Steinberg Built in Asio Driver and the ASIO4ALL , they work fine on the laptop. In device control panel Fiio in, Fiio out. No sound at all.

All other applications on the PC, excellent sound though the Fiio and headphones.

Help much appreciated.

I think the advice would be to upload your diagnostics, so one the team can give particular advice.

Within Dorico do Help>Create Diagnostic Report. This will create a zip file on your desktop. Upload that here.

Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is too big (maximum size is 4 MB).

I see the file contains 4 folders: Activation Manager, Audio Engine, Crashes, Dorico.

that frequently happens – you then need to upload it to a file sharing site (such as OneDrive as you’re on Windows)

You could also zip up those 4 subfolders separately and make 4 separate replies.

And actually, in your case - for a start - only the Audio Engine subfolder will be enough to look at for me. If I need more I can still ask later.

Did you install already the VSL player and corresponding sound libraries?

No I have not, This is going so badly, I spend hours and hours and no sound, never happened to me before, have been using music software from when Sibelius was started. I’m in a bit of a panic right now. I feel if I download more it’s going to fail. Am thinking of uninstalling and starting over from 0.

I dont know if its the asio driver, or Noteperformer , or the Fiio that is too ancient
