simplifying ties

Hi there,

I’m in 12/16 and want to simplify the notation of the highlighted note to a dotted 16th instead of the bizarre tied-over 16th and 32nd.
How can I?

I’ve tried to go through the notation settings but nothing helped - furthermore those are general settings that may be sound for the whole document but not for certain other places that are exceptions to the rule.

You can use Force Duration (the tool on the left that looks like a C-clamp); select a dotted sixteenth; then re-enter your note. This was one of the harder things for me to get used to, but now I’m getting the hang of it.
