Is it possible to indent only one player in a system, and likewise, change only that player’s bar line? I would like to indent the vocalist to add a drop cap and have their barline’s be a tick, without it affecting the accompaniment part.
Sorry, what is a “drop cap”? Could you sketch on paper what you are after and post a picture?
A drop cap is a large initial capital letter that usually spans multiple lines. You can see it at the start of some magazine articles and book chapters.
Since there’s only one line of lyrics here, I’m assuming that what’s wanted is just a large initial capital letter.
I don’t work much with lyrics, but I think you can just edit the single lyric to make the first letter larger, although you’d also have to shift the baseline to get it to line up with the rest of the lyric.
You could define a reusable character style for the initial letter, and a paragraph style for the whole word that includes the baseline shift.
