SL ARA in Pro Tools causing lots of SWODs working from network drive

HI there,

I’m running sessions from my Synology NAS across a 100GB network. The sessions work fine and are very responsive. When I use SL ARA I am getting very long SWODs after doing just about anything in the session or in SL itself. It always comes back, but sometimes it is frozen for well over a minute. When I run it on sessions on my local drives everything seems to work as expected.

Strange, any audio data that is imported in SpectraLayers is immediately converted to a local float32 bits copy (that local copy is stored in Edit > Preferences > System > Cache Path). So the original file is not used once imported in SpectraLayers (either in standalone or ARA mode).
Maybe check the Cache Path in ARA mode ?

The cache seems to be correct in the preferences but I’m getting the files in the ARA Data folder on the network drive (in the session folder).
