SL11 Custom User Display Filter; Is It Working? Win10 2H22

OK, so I have set my display filter parameters the way I want>
save new filter…
adjust parameter settings later>
save filter with same name syntax as original filter>
pop-up dialog asks if overwrite ok>
I click yes
now I have entries in the “Settings Filters” drop down named as the syntax I had input

any selection of Settings Filters in the dropdown seems to make no difference…

every job I open, default filter appears to be “Essential”
I have to adjust filter settings as none of the saved custom filters appear to function and overwrite does not appear to work either as each time I overwrite, a new Settings Filter populates the dropdown

This is on Win10 22H2 v19045.4651
SpectraLayers Pro 11.0.10 build 367

I can repro the issue, this is now fixed on my side (fix will be in patch 2 coming mid-august).

Thanks for this! It’s deeply appreciated that you are here helping us along, Robin =-D

I look forward to the update

Hi @Robin_Lobel
I have just installed patch 2 (11.0.20 build 378)

When attempt to save a custom user filter:
-the custom name does not appear in the filter choices drop down at top right of display panel;
-try to delete filter and custom filter syntax appears in dialog pop-up

close/re-open SL11, then
-try delete filter>
dialog popup warns “no user filter to delete”,
-and custom filter name not in drop down

I’ve tested with a slp created in 11.0.10 and 11.0.20 :slight_smile:

Hi @Robin_Lobel
bump :slight_smile:
is this fixed as far as you are concerned? It still doesn’t function as I expect

every time I launch SL11;
I have to adjust display settings (Resolution and Refinement) to my desired numbers…and if I try to save display filters, as I described above in previous posts is what I experience

I’m just checking
many thanks

Hi @ctreitzell I realize the fix that went into 11.0.20 for Display filters has an issue, therefore the Display panel filters still have issues as of 11.0.20. I’ll make a note for 11.0.30 to revisit that issue again.

Regarding default Display panel values, you can set them through Edit > Preferences > Display.

Robin, thanks so much for that :smiley:

OK, thanks to @Nspace for alerting me about the 11.0.30 Build 386 the user Display Panel filters do now save as an entry. And users can create more filters.

Now, realize, all that the custom filter does is populate the project’s display parameters…it does not save the settings of the parameters…The specific parameter values for Max/Min Amplitude, Brightness, Res, Refinement, FFT Size are not saved and always open at whatever the settings the user had when SL11 was last closed (Min/Max Amplitude, Brightness, etc) or whatever the default is (Res and Refinement).

I’d like to be able to save those values into my filter, but it isn’t stopping me from working :slight_smile:
