SL12 Simply closing

Hey

SL 12.0.40 started to close (quickly, no messages/errors) after I’m trying to open recent/new file or project, unistall/reinstall didn’t help.

I can run the program, change settings etc, but I can’t open any files.

No licensing issues

10 CrashDumps created so far,

SL did run perfectly couple of days ago with 0 issues

The .dmp file is needed, the lines you quote are not part of the actual log.

Unfortunately I del all those *.dmp’s worth ~300mb as they felt unuseful for me after solving the problem, which was SL registry keys related, it now runs perfectly after deleting the whole Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Steinberg\SpectraLayers 12.0. and not reinstalling.

Which I’ve also noticed is that it refused to accept my custom presets folder and used that exportpath instead, then modifing that specific key manually made it work, another thing was device settings which were accepted properly after third attempt.

All other custom settings for the system worked without any trouble.

So it works for now!
