Slashes with stems in Midi Real Time

HI,

can I record Slashes with stems in Midi real Time Recording?

Best Regards

Ingo

Yes, you should be able to, if you show the caret before you start and set it to an appropriate slash voice, with Shift+Alt+V.

Hm, I tried that. I played a “D” note, as I do, when I write in step time. Didn’t get it to work…

HI Daniel,

it sometimes does it and sometimes not. I don’t know, what I am doing wrong. I tried all the voices and all notes on the keyboard.

Okay, I think I found it. It only works with the very first stem Voice. This is reachable through the command “V”

One more time:

I am trying to record splash notation in real time.
I select a staff, then press shift-N. It shows the caret. I switch to a stem voice with shift-alt-v.
But it doesn’t record slashes.
I know, I did it before, but I don’t know how I made it work.
I tried all slash voices with shift-alt-v. It only records regular notation.

Please help.

Best Regards

Ingo

I’m not sure this is possible at the moment, Ingo. But after you have recorded, you can select any recorded note and choose Edit > Voices > Rhythmic Slashes > Slashes With Stems to convert that voice to a slash voice.

Hi Daniel,

yes it is possible.
That’s what I figured out. I recorded regular notes and changed the voice to a voice with stems. If I keep recording in that player, it records stems.
Maybe you can find out more about it. It’s a very handy feature.
