Slaving ProTools to Cubase?

No problem, you are welcome :sunglasses:

Hey Guys,
It would be great, if You can help me out here:
Although I can sync cubase with protools (wire MTC over IAC on the same machine), I have followings problems:

  1. when I stop cubase, protools jumps back to the beginning. Since I want to use Protools to handle video, this is a problem, since I can’t find exact Moments to sync a Hit on a frame for instance. Also I can’t scroll the timeline in cubase, and have Protools follow. Protools stands still. Only when I press play, it will follow.

  2. there is a big latency, between pressing start in cubase and protools following. (about 2 seconds!)

I’m using IAC bus for Destination of MTC in cubase. And Protools MTC reader is IAC.
DO I miss something?

Best,
ketan

In Protools look for a transport setting that does this…?

In ProTools find a setting for how many sync frames are to be analyzed before starting transport.
