Just to be sure:
It seems I need to use an ‘ordinary’ line to indicate a slide without a starting note. I can’t get the slide-in property to work with just the destination note.
Am I right?
If yes, my feature request is to allow slides without a defined starting note.
In the Ornaments panel, under Jazz there is an option called Lift (Straight) which should be exactly what you are trying to do.

Because this symbol is primarily used in jazz writing for brass, though it happens to be convenient for what you need for this specific guitar technique as well.
