What is the average startup time for Cubase because with my setup (i9-12990K 3.20 Ghz with 32 Gb DDR5) it takes too long 1:15 seconds for the cubase hub and after that till 2 minutes the hub is ready to load or start a new project. One culprit is WinRT midi which takes a lot of time. Overall I think it’s way to long and it should not be more than 20 seconds for a program to start. I like to hear other experiences
Checking licenses bug still there maybe you have the same issues, could you check the Windows task manager while Cubase is starting?
Maybe irrelevant. Check to see if your computer has a WiFi printer set as default, but the printer is not turned on or connected. Sometimes the warning popup is behind a window on the screen and can’t be seen. Cubase 12 pro will wait for the printer access time out before loading the rest of Cubase 12 pro.
I changed my default printer to PDF printer and avoided the wait time.

Typical startup time here is 15 to 20 seconds until the hub if fully loaded.
No wifi printer overhere so that could not be the culprit

Yeah, it’s obnoxious. Ableton Live starts up so, so much faster.
There are just so many areas where Steinberg is dropping the ball in terms of everyday usability, I don’t know where to start. This program feels decrepit. I wish I could leave, but I just know it far better than any other DAW at this point, so when it’s finally all loaded, I work way faster in it. Dammit.
Just had to do a system restore because Flux Alchemist VST3 had a show-stopping bug and there was no way for me to find the setting that bricked the UI–not in the registry or anywhere else, and uninstalling and reinstalling from Flux Center did nothing.
I just can’t express enough how tired I am of this whole industry using us as guinea pigs because they have apparently no effing idea how to properly test software. Completely fed up.

Mine is suddenly taking hours to load up… and it still hasn’t finished. It seems to be hung upon the Scanning VST 3 part… Truely frustrating. .

Is there any tips on how to get Cubase to start faster?
It’s been 8 years since I switched from FL to Cubase for industry needs.
I still have both, and I’m just confused how FL could start smoothly in 3-4 seconds while Cubase still takes soooooooooooooooooo long to start even though we’ve been paying much more for Cubase updates.
