The SpectraLayers Pro 13.0.10 downloads, but does not install via the Steinberg Download Assistant, at least not on Windows.
Workaround: find the zip file in the location the SDA has placed it, unzip it and run the installer manually.
Works without any problems via Download Assistant here.

EDIT: Hmm, need to revert my answer. Just saw that the Download Assistant downloaded the software, showed the green success bar, but the button says “Open” and not the final checkmark. After pressing “Open” I see an explorer window and four files.
These files combined are a huge Zip archive and you are right, I have to install it manually.
I remember this happened with SP 12 as well, so it seems the SDA can’t handle these huge archives.
Same thing on Mac.
You have to click ”Open” in the Download assistant and run the .dmg-file manually.
No big deal but I didn’t discover this until I had played with what I thought was the new version for a while. Then I found out it wasn’t installed.
Exactly, this is a change in behaviour in SDA, people will think they have updated, when in fact they are still on 13.0.0
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Just prior to the planned release, we identified a problem with the silent installation behavior and made the decision to turn it off in the Steinberg Download Assistant. So, instead of the “Install” feature you’re accustomed to, the “Open” button opens the download folder for manual installation, just like in the old days.
When the problem is resolved, it will revert to the more convenient behavior.
Of course, the regular download page is still available as well.
