Slur to none

Hello everyone,
I am struggling with an issue and unable to find a solution.
I want to add a slur to a note followed by a rest.
Please check the screenshot, any help is really appreciated, the example is done with Finale.

This is known as a “laissez vibrer tie”, and you can show these on any selected note by using the Properties panel at the bottom of the window.

Dorico differentiates

• Slur
• Tie
• Laissez vibrer tie

Slur and tie require a start and end note.

To accomplish a stretched Laissez vibrer tie

• Go to Engrave mode (⌘/CTRL 3)
• Open the bottom panel (⌘/CTRL 8)
• Enable Laissez vibrer tie
• Select the tie and then the rightmost handle
• Press ⌥→ (ALT→) or ⌥⌘→ (ALT-CTRL→) a few times

Also: if the situation allows, you can create slurs and ties to hidden notes (notehead/stem hidden):

This can be combined with extra voices to solve all sorts of slur/tie problems.

You can also set a default minimum length for l.v ties in Library->Engraving Options->Ties
