Slurs Affecting Playback

When I playback some brass parts, the slurs I created adversely affect playback. Dorico seems to randomly pick which note in a chord gets full value, and which notes get minimum value. Almost like grace notes. This only affects shorter value notes. All whole and half notes in a chord get full value, quarters and 8ths get truncated. When I remove the slurs, the notes behave properly. Any help?

I’ve attached an excerpt from the piece. I’ve silenced the playback template to shrink the file, so you’ll need to turn that back on. Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

I’m not hearing what you report.

With NotePerformer, the trumpet parts sound as follows:

I wonder whether the issue might be related to the playback template you’re using. It may be worth reapplying the template in case something has gone awry.

Also, the Dorico way to notate this would be to have separate players for each part and use condensing.

Thanks for the information. This is remarkably helpful, jesele!

Yep! I just got NotePerformer and it solved the issue! Thanks for the help!

Note, you can see and edit all players in View->Galley View, even when condensing is turned on.
