Slurs and ties on single-stemmed condensed part

I have found a few reports on this, but it’s unclear to me whether there is a workaround or not.

Original material in the trombones (tie above, slur below):


Dorico diligently condenses this as two voices, but I would like to have them on a single stem. When I add a condensing change > Manual > both on up-stem voice 1, I get this (the slur disappears):

Is there any way around it?
PS: it’s not the end of the world if I have to use two voices, but I’d like to know! :slight_smile:

You have to use two voices.

Even though you need to use two voices to preserve the slur when condensing is turned on, you can still make the notes appear to share a single voice. In engrave mode, flip the stems on the tied notes and then flip the tie. Set the voice column index on the slurred notes to zero. Finally, lengthen the stem on the tied-to note so that the flags on the eighth notes are superimposed:
