So I have cubase 5 running and I can use very short loop points with not even a hick up. With 7.5 if I set the locates to small like a 16th note at 132bpm(haven’t tried slower bums yet) the audio completely drops and it won’t come back in until I go back a few seconds in the track. This is on an audio track. Also the disk meter clips when this happens.
