How to get smart quotes to work in a text box?
Enter the hex code for example 201e and then press OPTION/ALTx

If you’re on 6.1, there’s an Engraving Option ( > Text) for having Smart Quotes everywhere.

Interestingly, this option says:
But I don’t find this to be true – I don’t get smart quotes in text frames whether or not this option is enabled.
Yes, I checked that option and made it the default but still no curly quotes in my text boxes. Not sure what is going on.
Ah: yes, that looks like a bug.
Probably easiest to type it in an app that does Smarten quotes, and then paste it in.
