Smooth CC Automation Lines in Cubase?

Hello fellow Cubase users,

I had a question regarding the CC automation in Cubase. When I input automation, it appears as square-shaped steps (as shown in Image 1). However, I would prefer smooth, directly connected lines between the points, like in Image 2.

Is there a way to configure Cubase to achieve the second style of automation directly while editing CC data? Or even a shortcut to convert the “steps” into diagonal lines.

Hi,

Yes, switch the Controller lane from Jump to Ramp in the bottom (triangle) drop-down menu of the Controller lane.

Awesome, thanks ! I couldn’t find it as i didn’t know what search keywords to use to find this option.

A cool future feature would be to be able to convert already written step data into curves. In order to avoid switching from one to another, and only have a desired section with curves or steps…

Now i just need to find a way to toggle this via a shortcut, doesn’t seem like this is possible (or am i wrong again?!) At least i didn’t find the option in the keycommands…
