Snap a line's endpoint to a barline

Hi! I’m trying to find a way to make this kind of notation consistent even when the measure’s width changes.

As for how the ondulated lines work, they are made by small modules that really don’t scale well:

I thought about two possible solutions, both of which I couldn’t figure out a way to implement. One, however, seems more reasonable than the other:

  1. Make the end of the line snap to the right barline. (Worse but maybe applicable.)
  2. Make the line longer, but somehow make the next measure hide it. (Better, but probably utopic? Does dorico have layers? If so, I could create a white rectangle snapped to the left barline of the next measure sandwiched between the staff and the line, but… )
Last resort would be editing it manually before printing. Since I have a lot of these, though, I’d prefer another, more exciting way.
Does anyone have a workaround or a suggestion to obtain something like this?
    Thank you all!

That’s a problem I always have with lines of repeatable symbols. No good solution. Perhaps using text, as @johnkprice suggested, is the best workaround.
The text can be stretched/compressed.
