Snap button resets to ON while changing workspace since Cubase 9

Cubase - issue - snap resets to ON while changing workspace - probably has to do with the new mixers introduced in Cubase 9

Cubase 8.5 works as expected (snap button state not influenced by switching workspaces)
It’s highly undesirable. Especially if you want to work with snap OFF.

The state of the snap button should NOT be affected by switching workspaces at all.
Multiple users have reported the issue already, but no-one made the connection to the introduction of the new mixing consoles since C9, so I feel it is ok to report the issue as a bug since C9.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. create any project in Cubase 9 and up with multiple workspaces
  2. Switch off the Snap button
  3. Change workspace
    result = Snap = ON

This is NOT the case in cubase 8.5 and older versions:

  1. create any project in Cubase 8.5 and older with multiple workspaces
  2. Switch off the Snap button
  3. Change workspace
    result = Snap = unaffected, still off

Information about system, OS, Cubase version:
PC Windows 10, Cubase 8.5 32bit, 10.5, 11, 12

I agree, seems like a bug to me.

I can confirm that this has been fixed in 12.0.30. Yay!!! :slight_smile:
