First post so apologies if I couldn’t find this topic and should have. New to Cubase as of version 14. When I change the grid in the midi editor drop down from 1/16 to 1/16 triplet, the regular 1/16 option disappears from the local drop down list (same in the upper main project region). Thankfully however, the Track Inspector retains 1/16 in the drop down list so I can change it back.
Am I missing something here and it’s an intended behaviour, or is it a minor inconsistency that will be corrected in a maintenance update at some point? Not a really big deal if use the Track Inspector drop down but thought it worth asking the question.
Thanks, and BTW, the deeper I dive into Cubase the more I’m enjoying it (ex Pro Tools, ex Reaper). Lovin’ it!
This time I opened my existing project and a new one to check. In both cases I could see a straight 1/16 option in the track inspector drop down, but not in the midi or top project grid drop downs. On that basis I’ve not shown before and after as they show essentially the same thing.
(Being a new user I can only upload one screen shot at a time so apologies for the multiple posts).
As mentioned, it’s certainly no deal breaker but it just surprised me that the 3 drop downs weren’t in synch. Again, I may be missing some intentional behaviour here due to the way the sections interact technically.
Yes, just tried in Safe mode (all options), no change. As long as I control the grid from the Track Inspector I’m fine, but the straight 1/16 option never appears in the upper project or lower midi grid drop down lists.
Given the different look of the drop down in the Track Inspector (e.g. “T” instead of “triplet”, I wondered if the drop downs perhaps don’t even share the same code base.
