Snap > Grid Relative (what is the effect of this setting in the Score Editor?)

How is Snap > Grid Relative setting supposed to affect working in the Score Editor? Thank you.

P.S. The manual says that Grid Relative keeps the relative positions when snapping events to the grid, but it seems to me that this doesn’t work (I’m not complaining!). For example, If I drag an 8th note located at 1. 1. 1. 5 to the next 8th note position, shouldn’t I expect the note to snap on 1. 2. 1. 5 (relative position)?
Instead, the note snaps to 1. 2. 1. 0… Hmmm…

Interesting… have you also tried moving notes using the Nudge commands? Does that work?

Nudging works as expected (relative to the previous position), regardless of the Snap setting.

I don’t follow-- does “correct” mean it does what the manual says it should? In other words, it does not, completely?

Sorry, I don’t follow either. I haven’t used the word “corect”.

Yes, I’ve tried. The nudge commands work. An 8th note on 1.1.1.5 nudged one 8th note to the right will be 1.2.1.5.

I should’ve said “expected”… anyway, I checked it out on my setup and see the same thing you see-- which is that it doesn’t work as it’s specified to in the manual.

So I guess it’s a bug. I wonder what @Maestro thinks…
