Snapping in editor

Its easier to moan and complain about something rather than offer offer any help at all. I joined this forum over 10 years ago and sadly you have your little clicks that would rather cause an argument than say something constructive. Exactly the same thing happens on the Facebook groups.

So one suggestion says “why not upload to YouTube and then post it on here”. Would that not have been the correct approach to start with rather than have 3-4 people be negative? The op never got an answer and nor did I despite the video and the description from us both.

I said it before and sadly after all these years I’ll say it again, people have ruined this forum and would rather moan than help and people running the Facebook groups lack admins and the ones in charge have massive egos.

Just Googled, “Steinberg forums are bad” and this is the result….

“Users have criticized Steinberg forums for being poorly designed, having poor ergonomics and readability, a lack of user respect, and unhelpful or condescending responses from other users”.

Anyone saying I’ve made this up, go and google what I put.

The audio snaps to the grid but if I copy and drag it to another place (lets say im using the same chorus vocal) The second chorus (the part I just copied and dragged) is slightly out of time. Inside the editor, it will not snap to the grid and although outside of the editor it is snapped to the grid, the editor shows its nowhere near the grid even with snap turned on. I believe that is causing the slight timing issue but I have no idea why its started doing it.

Yes, some people have done this. And it seems you’re one of them. I just went through and read every one of your posts. Not ONCE have you ever helped anyone with anything. Not once. Every post is you asking people for help, then criticizing the forum for not getting what you want, and then follow-ups with others who were trying to help you.

If you’re going to complain about the forum not having enough people willing to give others a hand, maybe consider spending some time trying to help other people yourself. We don’t need Google to tell us what you think - everyone here can just look at your posts and see for themselves.

If I post something and multitudes of other people say “hey, that’s not helping,” then it’s a fair bet I was the problem. You’ve been asked multiple times to provide better information, but rather than do that, you reply with criticisms. You’ve been told three different times what the issue was, and rather than even saying “thank you” to those people, you instead criticize the entire forum.

Be the change you want in the world. Otherwise, you’re just making the problem worse.

Good luck.

Now that you’ve finally narrowed your issue down thanks to all the people who generously helped you - I can’t replicate this behaviour.

For the record and I am with @Thor.HOG : You are being rude. The time you spent to insult others who were just trying to help you would have been better invested elsewhere. No sign of appreciation, nothing.

Maybe it’s time to question how you approach others rather than to complain how others react after having been approached this way. Just a thought.

The OP asked a question and it wasnt answered. I gave a full description TWICE plus a video that works perfectly for what was required.

So how much detail do I need to give apart from saying it twice and giving a video? Did anyone prior to the person suggesting youtube say that? NO!

But I will say thank you for showing how true this is……

“Users have criticized Steinberg forums for being poorly designed, having poor ergonomics and readability, a lack of user respect, and unhelpful or condescending responses from other users”.

You have tried to rip into me even though I gave information twice plus a video and the OP gave their description too. You read all my posts but fail to tell people how often I come on here and when my last post prior to this was. You even failed to say that one of the times I asked for help and the same thing happened with me and a OP but when I got the solution, I posted it up and told everyone about it which I always do. But its ok, keep prodding that stick. :+1:

Oh right, you are with someone that is slandering me for not helping people in the past when I have. Throw enough mud and eventually it sticks and people follow.

I gave enough information and I have not swore or gave slander towards people but its acceptable to throw it at me?

“Hey bud sorry but the video seems too small, any chance you can upload it to YouTube and send us the link?”.

Problem solved in one message.

That suggestion was made a couple times at least. Your response was not to do so.
