This question relates to the playback of drum rolls tied to a following accented note. I’ve been using the workaround suggested by @Christian_R in this thread: Drum kit - playback of accented note tied to a roll - #2 by Christian_R . It has worked flawlessly so far.
However, while the workaround behaves well with quarter notes and longer values, I find that with eighth notes there is a noticeable gap between the roll and the following accented note, which is precisely the effect the tie is intended to avoid. For example:
