So which mouse app for Cubase on Mac?

Since Cubase’s scrolling is still too jumpy on MacOS.

What would be the best mouse / scroll app for it ?

What MacOS version? It seems fine (for me) on Sequoia.

Have you tried using a different mouse to see if that has any affect? I’ve never used a “mouse app” to resolve an issue with scrolling, or for anything else.

scrolling in Cubase works well only with Apple Mouse and Apple Trackpad.

But no with any kind of 3rd party mouse.

I haven’t owned an Apple mouse or keyboard since the ones that came with my Power Mac’s or Mac Pros like 10+ years ago. Scrolling works as it’s supposed to here with all the various Logitech mice and trackballs I own.

I use a Razer Death Adder (with detented scroll wheel) and scrolling in Cubase works fine for me.

it’s not jumpy for you when you scroll fast ?

for me when I scroll fast it pretty much scrolls like 80 tracks with one fast scroll.

totally different behavior than in other apps and DAWs

That’s wheel acceleration. All apps have that, but Cubase has more acceleration than most. You might try LinearMouse if you want to disable that.

You may want to check in your Settings under Mouse->Advanced to see if Pointer acceleration is enabled.

I use Mos for Mac https://mos.caldis.me/ which makes scrolling in Cubase very smooth with the right settings; i use a MX Master 3s mouse.

Yes it is, otherwise I would be moving the mouse across the entire desk

I’ve had problems with jumpy scrolling with various mice in the past. I’m currently using a Logitech MX mouse and haven’t noticed any issues with that. On a side note the thumb wheel is very useful for horizontal scrolling

That horizontal scroll wheel is the one thing I really miss from my MX Master 3. I had to switch about a year or so ago to a trackball cause I started getting some wrist issues (been using these computer things since about 1984 or so). I’m hoping the next MX Ergo trackball gets one but I’ve been through two revs so far and they haven’t caught up to the mouse yet!
