Soft e license doesnt have cubase license, no products found?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Reactivate from your old Soft-eLicenser, please.

Thanks for your answer. But what do you mean by “old” soft e licenser? I will try it…

Been busy for 2 days in a row now and nothing seems to work. It keeps saying the same thing

Hi,

Obviously you have a new system.

I just bought a laptop that has Windows 11 pro, and the cubase software I recently bought is the artist 14. Do you mean that? What am i supposed to do? How do i reactivate from the old soft e license?

Thanks for your time to react, appreciate it

There is nothing to reactivate from a eLicenser.

Install the Software on your laptop, start the Activation Manager, login to your Steinberg account and Press the activate button, that’s all.

Thanks for your reaction. In the past days I installed and uninstalled a couple of times allready. But I Will try that again.
I really Dont know what I am doing wrong here :expressionless:

Uninstall and reinstall is not required at all, what needs to be done is the login via the Activation Manager and then you should see your Cubase Artist 14 license in there.

What does the Activation Manager show when you launch it, can you post a screenshot?

Thanks for your reaction! This is what i see when i open the Activation Manager, it says “activated”

Yes, that means you can start Cubase Artist 14 on this computer, the license is correct and active.

So what exactly is now your problem on this machine?

When I start Cubase it looks like it opens but after a couple of seconds it dissapears…

When I Press ok it dissapears after a few seconds

Try starting it with deactivated plugins and disable the program preferences.

It keeps dissapearing/closing after a few seconds :disappointed:

This still remains blank, i see that other people have Cubase mentioned in it…

No, this is the old eLicenser that is no longer used since Cubase 12, so simply forget it.

Do you have any crash dump in Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps ? Can you upload one or two of the latest, if there are any.

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately no dump to be found in documents/steinberg, have no crashdump folder

Did you actually try to start with plugs disabled as Juergen suggested?
It looks like you have these options selected but just to be sure!

Thanks for your reaction! I have tried that yes, multiple times. It keeps dissapearing/closing after a few seconds.

When it begins to start before crashing does it get as far as showing in small text on the bottom left of the splash screen what is loading?? This might give a clue at what stage of initialisation it’s crashing.
Something else to try would be disconnecting all midi and audio devices and see if it starts.

And maybe list your system specs…I take it your system meets system requirements for 14?

I checked my laptop specs, i think Cubase Artist 14 should work on this. Or am i wrong?

Some times it looks like its going to load but closes after this

It wont Go further than this menu, I tried to open with different settings but it keeps doing the same and wont open
